Discussion

The cafeteria renovation at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School is scheduled for summer 2021. 

Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $463,548.15 under their continuing contract for construction management services based on a design by Architects RZK, Inc. under their continuing contract for architectural services. 

Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $8,000.

The project will be funded through Food & Nutrition Services unrestricted funds.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement was used which does not require legal review. 

Recommendation

Approve the total project construction budget for the cafeteria renovation at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School in the amount of $471,548.15.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $463,548.15 under their continuing contract for construction management services.
