The sales surtax renewal plan includes funding for electrical renewal at McAuliffe Elementary School. 

Ivey's Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $359,933 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the project based on a design submitted by OCI Consulting Engineers under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services.  An early works GMP was administratively approved in the amount of $39,817 in order to avoid material escalation costs. Additional administration and permitting costs are budgeted at $5,000. The Independent Citizens Oversight Committee will review allocation of additional 2020 sales surtax revenue to electrical renewal projects at their February 16, 2022 meeting. An additional allocation of up to $40,000 is needed for the McAuliffe Elementary electrical renewal project. This project may also be partially funded through capital.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $404,750 for the electrical renewal at McAuliffe Elementary School. 

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Ivey's Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $359,933 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the electrical renewal at McAuliffe Elementary School. 

Approve an additional allocation of $40,000 from the 2020 sales surtax revenue for the electrical renewal at McAuliffe Elementary School.
