Kennedy Middle School - Construction Management Services - SALES SURTAX RENEWAL
Consent w/o Information - 02/22/2022
The sales surtax renewal plan includes funding for electrical renewal at Kennedy Middle School.
Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $488,048.08 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the project based on a design submitted by TLC Engineering Solutions under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. Additional administration and permitting costs are budgeted at $5,000. The Independent Citizens Oversight Committee will review allocation of additional 2020 sales surtax revenue to electrical renewal projects at their February 16, 2022 meeting. An additional allocation of up to $335,000 is needed for the Kennedy Middle electrical renewal project. This project may also be funded through capital.
Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review.
Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $493,048.08 for the electrical renewal at Kennedy Middle School.
Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $488,048.08 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the electrical renewal at Kennedy Middle School.
Approve an additional allocation of $335,000 from the 2020 sales surtax revenue for the electrical renewal at Kennedy Middle School.
