Item is up for discussion related to requiring BPS staff who are not stationed in a school who are employees, to volunteer one day during the fall semester and another during the spring semester at a title one school. The hope is to have the employee volunteer as a substitute, IA, etc…  in a classroom to offset the need in our title one schools. There may be individuals who are not able to substitute for a variety of reasons who will be able to find another way to help the school. This will bring our staff and operations closer together for more effectiveness.
