| Discussion The purpose of the proposed new policy is to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and states laws, Florida State Board of Education Rules, Board policies, administrative rules, procedures, and guidelines. The Department of Risk Management shall develop, oversee, and approve procedures related to the use of unmanned aerial systems in district schools or on or above district property for students as well as non-students. The Board has established that safety for students, employees, and visitors is a high priority of the district. Technology-based innovations must be monitored and regulated to retain and monitor a high level of safety for all persons throughout the district. This Policy does encompass the suggested language from NEOLA. | ||||||||||||||||||
