Bureau of Justice Assistance "Student, Teacher, and Officers Preventing" (STOP) School Violence Grant Program
Consent w/o Information - 02/11/2020
The district is proposing development and submission of a STOP School Violence Grant program funded by the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). The proposal will focus on improving school security by providing access to critical training needed to respond and help prevent acts of violence.
The competitive grant proposal was released by the BJA on 12/31/19 with a due date of 3/3/20. There are no matching requirements for the program. If awarded, the grant will have a 36-month performance and funding cycle. Upon submission, a full copy of the proposal will be available for review in the Division of District Operations.
Approve the development and submission of the BJA STOP School Violence Grant program proposal.
