The fire alarm system at Bayside High School is failing and needs to be replaced.

Based on a scope of work prepared in-house, staff solicited bids from the District's Fire Alarm Installation and Repair vendors (ITB #19-692-B-JE). Expert Security Professionals submitted the low bid at $89,000. The project will be funded through capital as the 2014 sales surtax allocation for Bayside High School has been fully utilized on prior projects.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used, which does not require legal review.

 

Recommendation

Approve the award of bid for the Bayside High School fire alarm replacement project in the amount of $89,000 to Expert Security Professionals under their contracted awarded through ITB #19-692-B-JE.
