The sales surtax renewal plan includes funding for roof renewal at Johnson Middle School. 

The Board previously approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by H.J. High Construction in May 2021 for summer 2021 construction. Shortly after Board approval, H.J. High notified the District that their subcontractor was unable to obtain materials for summer 2021 construction. Consequently, the District and H.J. High mutually agreed to cancel the contract. 

H.J.High Construction has submitted a new Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $539,361.27 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the project based on a design submitted by A/R/C Associates, Inc. under their continuing contract for roof and building envelope engineering services. Administration and permitting costs were previously budgeted. The cost increase from the previous GMP is roughly 10%.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $539,361.27 for the roof renewal at Johnson Middle School.
