Brevard Public Schools and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 1010 has reached agreements on both premium pay and priority schools’ recruitment/retention for bonuses for 2022-23. 

Benefits-eligible 1010 employees in their tenth (10) year of service or more with BPS can receive $2500 spread out over two pays if they were active on the dates specified in the agreement.  In addition, if an employee’s hourly rate of pay, prior to the implementation of the $15.00 required minimum wage increase, was $14.00 or higher, and they meet the active dates requirements, they can receive $1500 spread out over two pays.  Non-benefits eligible employees, who qualify with the same criteria, will receive half the amount.

Benefits-eligible qualifying employees at priority schools can receive up to $1000 for Tier 3 schools, $750 for Tier 2 schools and $2000 for Gardendale Separate Day School, for recruitment and retention.  Non-benefits eligible employees, who qualify with the same criteria, will receive half the amount.

Recommendation

The School Board approve the Memoranda of Agreements between the School Board of Brevard County and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 1010 for SY2022-2023.
