Discussion The Board approved a construction management contract in February 2023 with Wharton Smith, Inc. for the intercom renewal project at Mims Elementary School under their continuing contract for construction management services. At staff's request, Wharton Smith, Inc. submitted owner-directed change order #1 for security-related front office renovations in an amount not to exceed $53,460.31 with no time extension. Administration and permitting costs have been previously budgeted. The project will be funded through remaining 2014 sales surtax. Board approval is required for change orders over $50,000 or exceeding 10% oof the contract value. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review.
