Discussion The intent of the IDEA Part B, K-12 Entitlement Grant is to ensure that all students with disabilities (SWD), ages 3-21, have the right to a free appropriate public education designed to meet their individual needs and prepare them for employment and independent living. Funds shall be used to supplement, not supplant, the excess costs of providing special education and related services. The primary initiatives of the IDEA Part B, K-12 Entitlement Grant include staffing allocations and fringe, sub-agreements, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, supplies, and technology. | ||||||||||||||||||
Recommendation Approve the 2023-2024 IDEA Part B, K-12 Entitlement Project Application with a total funding of $23,137,024. Preliminary entitlement allocation is $18,137,024 with an estimated roll forward of $5,000,000. | ||||||||||||||||||
