Intercom renewal projects are planned District-wide as part of the 2020 sales surtax renewal program. Projects at Holland Elementary School, DeLaura Middle School and Satellite High School have been designed by TLC  Engineering Solutions under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services. H.J. High Construction has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price in an amount not to exceed $748,186.56 for the intercom renewal projects at Holland Elementary School ($165,080.18), DeLaura Middle School ($231,086.41) and Satellite High School ($352,019.97) under their continuing contract for construction management services. The projects are combined to achieve economy of scale and reduce the construction management fee. 

Administration and permitting costs are estimated at $10,000 at each schools. The projects are funded through 2020 sales surtax, available 2014 sales surtax and capital. 

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement has been used which does not require legal review. 

Approve the total project construction budgets for the intercom renewal projects at Holland Elementary School ($175,080.18), DeLaura Middle School ($241,086.41) and Satellite High School ($362,019.97). 

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price submitted by H.J. High Construction in an amount not to exceed $748,186.56 for the intercom renewal projects at Holland Elementary School ($165,080.18), DeLaura Middle School ($231,086.41) and Satellite High School ($352,019.97) under their continuing contract for construction management services.
