Satellite High School - Facility Renewal - Construction Management Services - SALES SURTAX
Consent w/o Information - 04/28/2020
The sales surtax facility renewal project at Satellite High School is scheduled for summer 2020.
Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $1,963,287.37 under their continuing contract for construction management services. The design was prepared by TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) engineering services.
The scope of work includes chiller replacement, HVAC, controls and electrical. An additional $10,000 is budgeted for administration and permitting.
The supplemental sales surtax funding ($1,200,000) for this project was approved by the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee at their December 11, 2019 meeting and approved by the School Board at their January 28, 2020 meeting.
Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard agreement template has been used, which does not require legal review.
Approve the total project construction budget in the amount of $1,973,287.37 for the facility renewal project at Satellite High.
Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price change order submitted by Canaveral Construction Co., Inc. in an amount not to exceed $1,963,287.37 under their continuing contract for construction management services for the facility renewal project at Satellite High.
