Freezer cooler replacements are needed at Endeavour Elementary School, Longleaf Elementary School, Rockledge High School, Roy Allen Elementary School and Surfside Elementary School. 

Canaveral Construction Co. Inc. has submitted Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals for each of the five schools under their continuing contract for construction management services. The scope of work includes demolition and installation, based on the designs prepared by DDC Engineering, Inc. under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services.  The Surfside Elementary School project includes extensive rework of the freezer cooler area to accommodate larger equipment. The Rockledge High School project requires working around existing mechanical equipment.

For these projects, the District will be purchasing the freezer cooler units directly under their contracts with Polar King and Master-Bilt.

Administrative and permitting costs were previously budgeted. The project will be funded through Food Services unrestricted funds.

School Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. The standard form of the agreement is used which does not require legal review.
