Gemini Elementary School Cooling Tower Replacement - Close Out
On March 9, 2021, the School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Wharton-Smith, Inc., for the Gemini Elementary School Cooling Tower Replacement project in an amount not to exceed $570,143.00. Subsequently, a change order was approved increasing the amount to $574,897.05.
The work has been completed. The final project cost is $574,779.05 which includes $457,429.05 contracted costs and $117,350.00 in owner direct purchases. The unused amount is $118.00.
Because the cost of construction is over $300,000 the Florida Department of Education requires the Superintendent to sign the Certificate of Final Inspection (OEF-209) following certification by Engineer/Architect of Record and the Building Official.
Authorize the Superintendent to sign FDOE OEF Form 209 - Certificate of Final Inspection for the project.
