The district has received notification of a competitive grant funded program from the Florida Digital Service [FLDS]. This program does not have a dollar amount for award of funds to a local government.  The FLDS’s primary focus is enabling local entities with capabilities that integrate with the State’s Cybersecurity Operations Center. Examples of capabilities include software licenses, tools, and support resources.  This allows the FLDS to purchase at scale, provide an enterprise support model, provide Incident Response services, and monitor for threats and vulnerabilities. The Cybersecurity Grant Program funding is intended to extend the cybersecurity capabilities of the FLDS Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) to Florida municipal and county governments to improve their cybersecurity posture and resiliency.  If awarded, the grant will be for a period of 12 months, depending on the capabilities requested by the applicant.  There are no matching requirements for the FL Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program.  Upon completion, a full copy of the application shall be available for review in the Educational Technology Department.
