Portables that are no longer suitable for classroom use are given to schools for storage for the remainder of their useful life.

Storage Portable N201, located at Saturn Elementary School is no longer suitable for use and is uneconomical to repair. The Saturn Elementary School principal has requested that the unit be removed from the property in order to create much needed parking area for staff. 

Demolition will be handled by Plant Operations & Maintenance. The project will take an estimated 32 hours labor and the cost for disposal at the land fill is approximately $1500.00.

 

Recommendation

DCR and approve demolition of storage portable N201 at Saturn Elementary School.
